From my previous posts, you can tell that we had a blast kicking off the holiday season at Disney World. While spending a couple days at Magic Kingdom we not only loved riding on the rides and meeting characters, but we also loved all the live entertainment. There were several different parades, dance parties, and musical shows we were able to see which Daxton really liked. He is such a music lover and can keep up with the best of them on the dance floor.
One of our favorite parades was the "Move It! Shake It!" parade. There were several different floats with multiple Disney characters, but what was most fun was the dance party that ensued. Right in the middle of the parade, all the characters hopped off the floats and started dancing with people in the crowd. It turned into a huge dance party with Daxton's favorite characters! I was a little nervous at first because there was no containing our crazy toddler. He was so excited and would literally run into big groups of crowds dancing along the way. Then he would literally side tackle one of the characters with big hugs around the knees! I was so impressed with each of the characters, though. Each of them stopped dancing, bent over and gave him big hugs back, before continuing the dance party. It was so sweet to watch how kind everyone was and how happy it made Daxton. I swear that little boy has NO fear! I adore how he constantly wants to give people hugs. I hope that loving nature stays with him.

Just some of the other fun characters we saw throughout the parade...
Baloo and King Louie
Minnie and several Disney cast members
Mickey, Chip and Dale, Mr. Incredible, Frozone, Genie, Jessie, Woody, Lumieer, Goofy, and Donald...
After the parade we made our way to the front of Cinderella's Castle. We got front row seats for the noon showing of Mickey's Wishes Celebration. The story was cute, but Daxton mostly just loved the fun music and watching all the characters dance across the stage.
His favorites: Goofy, Minnie, Mickey, and Donald
Some of the Classic princesses: Sleeping Beauty and Prince Philip, Cinderella and Prince Charming, Snow White and Prince Florian
Goofy and Donald joining Captain Hook and his band of pirates...
Peter Pan and Wendy
Evil Maleficent trying to ruin the party...
After several songs, dance numbers, and a few cheesy speeches later good has overcome evil and all is well!
You gotta love Disney!

The absolute best was watching how mesmerized Daxton was the entire time. Not sure what was going through his mind, but periodically throughout the show he would stand up and dance around to the music and then sit back down on daddy's lap with his toes tapping to the beat.
I love how Disney is continually finding new and fun ways to make their guests' trips magical. We loved the opportunities to interact with the characters and especially loved the upbeat music, which led to endless toddler dancing!
