I forgot to include this in my earlier posts!
This was back in June 2015
We were so excited we got to have the Marshall Family stay with us for a couple weeks at the beginning of June. They have three of the cutest girls ever; their youngest the same age as Daxton. Needless to say, he was in heaven with constant buddies to play with. One of our many adventures was taking them down to the Everglades Alligator Farm in Homestead. It was a bit of a rainy day, but with the humidity and heat, we didn't mind the rain too much.
Love these cute kiddos!

When we first arrived we explored the different animal exhibits. There were all sorts of different reptiles, birds, and a couple shows to watch.
Our first show we saw was about snakes. They gave lots of information about native and nonnative snakes living in the Everglades. After the show they had a couple pythons that the audience could hold. It was pretty funny to see the kids reactions. Adri was super brave and wanted to hold the python while everyone else was content just touching it...except Penelope who wanted NOTHING to do with the snake!
Later, we were able to watch the alligator wrestling show. No matter how many times I've seen these alligator wrestling moves, it still baffles me. I mean who really wants to put their chin that close to a gators mouth all day every day??
Our very wet crew, waiting in the stands for the shows to start...
After the alligator show everyone was able to hold a few baby gators. Once again Adri was super brave and the only one who wanted to hold the baby gator on her own.
Can we just talk about how cute these two littles are??
They are such sweet little buddies!
After watching the snake and alligator show we made our way over to our airboat tour. Near our loading docks we saw a couple wild gators in the water. It's pretty crazy to see how quickly they can slide out of sight.
Since there was so much rain, we had to wait a bit for our airboat tour. The kids had fun looking through the reptile house and at more baby gators.
Finally they cleared us for our airboat tour.
Shawn, Adri, and Heidi sat on the front row while Abby, Me, Penelope, Daxton, and Dallas sat on the second row. We pretty much used our guests as shields to block most of the spraying water:)
Everyone loved their headphones which blocked out most of the noise and we were glad we all purchased little ponchos as well.
These next few pics are all from the GoPro which was also covered in water, so they're pretty blurry, but at least they capture how much fun we had while out exploring the Everglades!
After a very wet few hours, we decided to head home, but not until after we stopped at the Robert is Here fruit stand for delicious fruit shakes. It was a perfect way to end the fun day!
