While we were visiting Grandpa and Grandma in Wyoming last August, we tried to make sure that we had a fun activity everyday for us to explore a little more of the Casper area. On one of the days we were there, we decided to hike up to Garden Creek Falls. It was a nice short hike up through Casper mountain which was kid and dog friendly. Daxton had a blast picking up every possible rock he could find and throwing it into the stream below.

We finally made it to Garden Creek Falls (after all the rock pit stops) and it was beautiful. There wasn't a ton of water coming down, but it was really steep and had colorful moss clinging to the cliff sides. Daxton was a sweetheart to be so patient with all of mommy's pictures!

We continued to hike around and found a trail that circled back up the other side of the mountainside. Daxton once again found a great deal of excitement throwing rocks off the top of the platform.
He loved it until mom put a size restriction on the rocks he was choosing...
Along our hike we found all sorts of fun things, different plants and new bugs. It was amazing to see this cacoon of newly hatched worms/caterpillars (we still have no clue what they were!)
It was so much fun to explore nature that is so drastically different than where we live now.
