Our second day at Disney was spent at Magic Kingdom.
Since we were already in Orlando with Dallas for his work trip, we got to the park early. Arianne, Jeni, and Monica drove up from south florida that morning and met up with us there.

On our way to Tomorrowland we caught the Move it, Shake it parade. Dax loved waving to Woody and Jesse and seeing the new Zootopia characters.
We rode a couple rides in Tomorrowland before Arianne and her boys, Dean and Max, met up with us. It was pretty cute to see Dean and Dax run into each other's arms. It was like they hadn't seen each other in weeks, when it was really just a couple days. While Arianne and I were spending time in Tomorrowland with our boys, Jeni and Monica were taking their girls to meet princesses. It worked out perfectly, because there was no way we could convince Dean and Dax to care about princesses 😂
First things first...sharing a strawberry popsicle!
One of the boys' absolute favorites...
riding the People Mover!
We then took turns riding the Tomorrowland Speedway, where Dax proved just how crazy his driving is...
After spending awhile in Tomorrowland, we all met up in Adventureland to ride the Jungle Cruise. The kids had a blast playing with every single snake and spider in the gift shop. Olive got Dax pretty good a few times, teasing his with the snakes. It's so funny to me how much braver she is than all the boys combined!
Snake picture!
Claire was not the biggest fan of the snakes...
Getting into character for Pirates...
Our whole group riding the Jungle Cruise
I used to think this ride was just silly...and still do I guess.
But holy cow did these kids love riding it together! It quickly became a staple ride we had to make sure we scheduled when we went to Magic Kingdom.
The kids also had a blast riding the Magic Carpets of Aladdin. While Arianne was with a sleeping Max, I took Dean and Dax on the carpet ride. They loved being able to sit in a ride by themselves. Jeni and Monica took the girls in a carpet behind us.
After the Magic Carpets, we all rode Pirates of the Caribbean together. Even though the kids were a little afraid of the drop and darkness, they did great. They probably had more fun playing in and around the gift shop after the ride though...like usual.

After Pirates and exploring Adventureland, we walked up towards Liberty Square into Fantasyland. We lucked out by walking right by Peter Pan as the line was opening. Dax loved being able to talk about Pirates with Peter Pan and even showed him his muscles.
We tried to get a group picture, but Claire was not having it...
After meeting Peter Pan, we rode Small World and made our way over to Circus Circus where we rode Barnstormer and Dumbo. Claire was too short to ride Barnstormer, but Monica brought her cowboy boots and some padding to make her reach the height requirements. Even though Claire was not very excited about the boots, she ended up loving riding Barnstormer.
We finished the day by taking Dax and Olive on Thunder Mountain and Splash mountain for their first times! Olive loved every second...Daxton not so much 😂
It's funny to look back at these pics now, because these are two of his absolute favorite rides at Disney currently. But they definitely did not start out that way!
It was a great day at Magic Kingdom with these girls!
I was really spoiled to live so close to such great friends for so long. I love them and their children dearly. The good news is we will all be back on the east coast in the next few weeks. Lots of fun reunions in the future!
