Easter

We had a wonderful Easter this year.
It's crazy to think that just two Easters ago we were finally bringing our little man home from the NICU.  He truly is an Easter baby!  We don't usually do too much for Easter besides our religious activities, but the Easter bunny did come for Daxton (I hear he traveled all the way from Washington to find us!)  We also were invited to our friends house for a yummy dinner and Easter egg hunt.  We are so grateful we've become such great friends with the Bean family.  They are so much fun and always willing for an adventure.  Not to mention they have the sweetest little girls whom Daxton adores!

 Daxton's Easter baskets...

Getting ready for the Easter egg hunt...
Kirk and Dallas hid all the eggs for the kids, while we waited.

This was so sweet!
Daxton found his first egg and immediately handed it to Macy to put in her basket.  He's such a sweetheart!

Macy's search for eggs...

Brooke was a bit faster at searching than the little ones.
She knew what was at stake!

I had filled over 60 eggs (20 jelly beans and the other 40 with Lucky Charms cereal) and Whitney filled probably just as many with popcorn, candy, and cereal.  Needless to say, these kids had SEVERAL eggs to find.  And they loved every minute of it!
Daxton kept running from one side of their backyard to the other missing several eggs along the way and then circling back.  It was a very funny and sporadic Easter egg hunt.

When they had found all their eggs we spent a good 10 minutes trying to get a picture of all of them sitting with their baskets.  Taking pictures of toddlers has become quite tricky!

They were all pretty excited to brake into their eggs...

That smile says it all...
Daxton had a blast on the Easter egg hunt!

Daxton was pretty funny after he had all his eggs.  He walked away from our group, found an empty bench, and quickly climbed up with his basket in tow.  He sat there so excited as he opened each of his eggs.  Totally content to be on his own devouring his loot.

Love that crinkle-nosed smile!

He was having a blast until he dropped some of the cereal on the ground in front of him.  Out of nowhere a few ducks started swarming his feet and ate all his cereal.  He had the funniest look of defeat afterwards!

Macy and Brooke decided to join him on his bench...

The ducks decided to join as well!
Love Macy's reaction below!

The apartment complex the Beans live in have two really cool ponds in their backyard.  We had a blast feeding all the cereal and popcorn from their eggs to the ducks and turtles.  There were over 20 turtles waiting to be fed!

Looking at our grown little guy in the above picture melts my heart.  I can't believe how quickly he is growing and how each stage of his life has been more and more fun.  His little personality is shining through more and more which we love.
We had so much fun celebrating Easter with the Bean Family.
We are so grateful for their friendship.
Thanks again, for the fun afternoon!
