President's Day Adventure at the Golden Gate Bridge

I can't even begin to describe how grateful I am to have family in the bay area! My older brother, Erik, his wife Heather, and their four children have been a major source of laughter and love over the past couple years of living in California. This past President's Day was no exception. Heather and I decided to take the crazy four to Chrissy Fields Park, Lincoln Beachey, and the Golden Gate Bridge. We brought picnic supplies to enjoy on the beach while the boys played along the rock formations and tried not to get totally doused in the waves.

Lincoln was pretty proud that the city of San Francisco named a beach after him. Rulon, on the other hand, was NOT and demanded that there should be a "Rulon Beach" as well. How can you not adore his little pouty face?

We set up our picnic on the beach and Ellis immediately situated herself in the middle of the blanket and curled up for a nap.

Oh how I love this face!! Little Will is growing up so fast and is such a happy baby. I can never get enough snuggles from him! He loved watching all of us playing in the sand. I love this picture, because it shows off his two new teeth and his GORGEOUS blue eyes.

Lincoln has been watching a lot of Man vs. Wild lately and loved acting out survival mode on the surrounding rocks. The sun played tricks on us hiding in and out of low laying clouds so part of the time we were walking through fog...common occurrence for San Francisco.

Will really was happy to be taking this picture--he just didn't want to show it.

Heather had the great idea of bringing the boys' scooters and helmets to cross the bridge. There was nothing like watching Rulon with one foot on the scooter and the other pushing off the bridge railing. He also ran head first into an older man's backside. Gotta love that kid!

The boys got a little tired about a 1/4 of the way across. They needed to take a breather...Heather did too, after chasing them the entire way.

Doesn't get better than those blue eyes!

It was another great day spent with Heather and the kids. I'm so grateful they live so close and are willing to let an obnoxious aunt follow along on their adventures!
