Painting Play Date

I have mentioned in previous posts how lucky we feel here in South Florida.  We have met some of the most amazing people and are truly blessed to call them dear friends.  Two of those people to me are Emily and Alex.  They are a couple of the most genuine and kind girls I've ever met.  It's been such a blessing to get to know them over the past few months.  What's even more amazing is that they both have little boys that are the same age as Daxton and all three play SO WELL together!  We try to get the three of them together as much as possible for play dates and you can see why through the pictures below.

Since Daxton and I had such a great time painting for Grandma Liz, we thought it would be the perfect activity to do with Daxton's buddies Joey and Julian.  I was so glad that Emily and Alex were ok with letting their little guys get super messy.  We stripped them all down to their diapers, stapled up a big strip of paper, poured paint in several plates, and then handed them paintbrushes.  It was so funny to watch them interact.  They each did so well and amazingly stayed on the paper pretty well.  We used the Crayola washable paint again, so anything that got on the fence, ground, and bodies came right off with cold water.  It was such a great morning watching these three create their mural together!

Here are some of my favorite shots from their adventure together...

After they were done painting, they walked down to the bottom of our lawn to watch the ducks and ducklings.  It was so funny to see them exploring in nothing but their diapers!

Then we filled up the water table and let them get nice and soggy. This also helped with washing off all their paint.  The boys soon realized that getting their moms wet was pretty fun as well!

Such great little buddies!!

And can we just talk about how stinking cute his wavy curls were.  I'm missing them already!
I also love those eyelashes.
It was such a fun activity with his buddies.
I'm so grateful to have found such fun friends and even more grateful that those friends have little ones to be Daxton's friends!
