Four Years Down...An Eternity to Go

Wednesday, June 13th, was Dallas and I's four year wedding anniversary.
It seems crazy to think that four years has already passed.  In some ways I feel like we've known each other forever; laughed and loved each other forever.  But it also seems like only yesterday that I was meeting him in some random hallway, going out on our first date, and falling in love.
I can honestly say that I married my best friend.
I am madly in love with this man, so much more than I ever thought possible.
I remember my dad saying when we were engaged, that we didn't have a clue what love was yet.  I thought that was silly because I was obviously in love with Dallas and getting married to him.  But now I can start to understand what he meant.  The love I feel for my husband now has multiplied over and over with each new experience, with each new heart ache and trial, with each overwhelming joy.
I feel incredibly blessed to be married to such a loving, kindhearted, hard working, determined, funny, selfless, humble, generous, and passionate person.  He has given me such support over these last few years, especially these last few months as I take on the most important role I've ever been given; that of being a mother.

Our first anniversary we spent a couple weeks traveling through Thailand.  Our second anniversary we spent holding each other through our tears as we went through our first miscarriage.  Our third anniversary we spent a weekend in San Francisco enjoying the theater, shopping, and the crazy unique characters of the city.  But this anniversary has been my favorite...

I woke up to this...
 And these...
And we spent the day doing this...
What an amazing anniversary...spending the day with each other, in our perfect simple little family.  We've been praying for little Daxton for so many years, just as I prayed for Dallas for so many years.

I love you, sweetheart.
Thank you for always making me feel so loved and cared for.

Four years eternity to go...and I couldn't be happier.
