At the end of February my sister-in-law, Heather, was gone for another weekend. So to help my brother out, I took Will for the day. It was so much fun to hang out with him and watch how he and Daxton interacted. One of Will's favorite parks in located in Concord. It's called Matteo's Dream and is a park designed to be accessible by children of all abilities. The entire park and all play structures are completely wheel chair accessible, which is perfect for strollers as well. There are different activities spread throughout the park that focus on all sensory levels. It was mostly funded by donations and volunteers. What an amazing gift to the community.
Will loved showing us all the fun things to do, especially the xylophone. Daxton loved watching Will run from spot to spot.
Daxton is still new on the swings and still a bit unsure. It was so cute to see him look at Will for reassurance. If Will was smiling than it must be fun!
Will was super cute and even came over to push Daxton for awhile. He was still a little nervous about swinging, but has was more willing to try with Will pushing him.
"Mom, put that camera away and get me out of this thing!"
It was fun to watch Will run around, slide down the slides, and explore the different areas of the play structure. I can't believe it was just a couple years ago that he was Daxton's age. Time flies by too quickly!
After playing for awhile we found a shaded bench to enjoy our snacks...or should I say goldfish. Will thought it was pretty cool he got the entire bag to himself. He carried it around everywhere afterwards.
We had such a fun day watching
little Will.
I'm so glad that we are still
able to have special time with him and that he and Daxton get along so well
with each other. It also was a big confidence builder that juggling two
kids wasn't too hard at all. Maybe we'll be ready for our second earlier
rather than later...
