I know I've posted in the past about our close family friend, Oscar, attending Stanford University these past couple years. It's been such an amazing experience watching him grow over the past few months and hearing about his decision to serve a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We love Oscar so much and are so proud of his decision to serve.
At the beginning of June, Oscar invited us to attend his mission farewell in his stanford student ward in Palo Alto. We were honored that he wanted us in attendance and loved the chance to see him and his family again.
Oscar gave a wonderful talk, even if I did have to sit in the foyer with our crazy toddler. He is going to be such a great missionary! He leaves for the Mexico City Mission at the beginning of August and we couldn't be more excited for him.
The Matus Family (excluding Isaac who wasn't able to make the trip down to California.) Such an incredible family, so loving, kind, and a faithful people. What a blessing their examples have been in our lives.
