Grandma and Grandpa come to visit

In the middle of March my mom and dad drove down for a visit.  I love that they want to spend as much time with their grand kids as possible and constantly go out of their way to make that a priority in their lives.  They also brought a ton of yummy home canned goods fresh from the family farm (applesauce, peaches, pears, and jam.)  We had a fun week spending time with them.
They stayed at my older brother, Erik's, house so Dax and I would drive out to Clayton everyday to hang out with everyone.  Daxton LOVED all the extra attention from his grandparents and cousins.

Grandma loved reading to Daxton.  He is absolutely obsessed with books and loves turning pages.

Grandpa immediately got to work helping with the planter boxes at Erik's house.  Will loved helping grandpa plant the different vegetables and flowers.  Grandpa told Will that they would grow better if they were given a little kiss as they were planted.  It was so cute to see Will lean over and kiss each plant.  Will sure does love his grandpa!

Daxton was learning how to stand and balance while holding onto objects.  He was very interested in trying to walk while holding on to Grandma.  He gets too excited though and ends up doing an "Irish Jig" instead of walking forward.
Little Olive loved spending time with Grandpa as well.
She gave him lots of snuggles!

Since we were in the middle of Dallas' busy season, Daxton and I weren't able to spend much time with Dallas.  To make sure that he can spend quality time with our little guy, Dallas wakes up with him in the morning, baths, feeds, and plays with him before heading to work.  After getting out of the shower, I found Dallas teaching Daxton how to use a calculator.  I couldn't help but laugh.  Daddy is such an accountant!
A few days before my parents arrived, a drunk lady drove straight into Dallas parked car.  Luckily it was in the middle of the night so no one was hurt, but it did total his car.  When he went to rent a car for the week, they only had a little Fiat for him to drive around.  It was pretty funny to see him driving around such a small little thing.
His boss thought it was pretty funny as well, so the design team whipped up this pic below...
On one of the days my parents were in town, we decided to explore Rock City at Mount Diablo.  We took little Will with us while the rest of the kids were in school.  We had a blast exploring the different caves.
Will loved climbing up into all the different weathered holes.  Daxton couldn't get enough of his cousin Will.  He watched Will where ever he went and laughed at every funny face Will made at him.

No matter how hard we tried, Daxton would not look at the camera...too many fun things to look at!
I LOVE Will's different facial expressions below.

After exploring the different rock structures, we found a gorgeous picnic area looking over the hills of Mount Diablo.  We had a yummy lunch and then played with bubbles before heading home.  Daxton kept trying to catch the bubbles in his mouth.
Our gorgeous picnic area...
The week went by too quickly with Grandpa and Grandma visiting.  We had so much fun with them and love whatever time we get to spend with them.
Thanks for driving all that way to see us!
Love you both so very much!
